Chrysler Speed Fest Was a Classic!

On Sunday October 12th, I attended the Chrysler Speed Festival at the Coronado Navy Base. Personally, it was a great experience, not being to a classic car fest before or being exposed to that many classical cars. If you are interested in cars, then it would have been fun for you too. I never knew how many classic cars are still around, and in great condition too. One car that was on display, and my favorite, was a 1956 Chrysler 300B. This two-door sport hardtop was the fastest powered car in 1956 and seta world car speed record at Daytona Beach. It’s 355 Hp Hemi-head, V8 engine averaged 139.9 mph. Back in the day this car was only $4,242, and only 1,102 were produced.

Other than classic cars, there was one race that I also got really close to. There were 1962-1966 Sports Cars racing at over high speeds of over 120 mph. If you are into classic cars, then I recommend that you attend next years Chrysler Classic Speed Festival.
