Do you need or do you want to show your own tips on the Win95 Welcome
screen?
If you'd like to change the list of tips, select Start Menu | Run and type
Regedit | press Ctrl-F and search for "Tips" | press F3 for the second
occurrence until the right-hand half of the window displays a long list of
tips.
Select Export Registry File from the menu and export this to a file called
OldTips.reg. Don't ever change the first three lines of this file since
they describe what the other lines are all about. Note the format in which
the tip lines are configured and edit your own tips to replace those
existing for a more useful tip-base of your own - use a text editor without
line-wrapping. Keep the number in sequential order and once you are
finished, run the Registration Editor again and select Import Registry File
and import this file. |
