Desktop themes are free. Desktop theme creators create desktop themes as a hobby. All they hope to get in return in that the theme user occasionally drops the theme creator an email to tell the theme creator that he/she enjoys using the theme creator's desktop themes.

In some cases, theme creators produce a CD for sale of their own original desktop theme creations. What orginial means is that every thing from the cursors to the wallpaper to the sounds are of their own creation and not copyrighted by anyone

Desktop theme packages come in .zip files. So you would need a software such as Nico's Winzip to extract the contents of the .zip file. Downloaded desktop theme packages should be unzipped into your Program Files\Plus!\Themes directory. Please read the readme file provided in each theme package for detailed instructions.

There are many software on the Internet which helps install themes. One such software is Left Side Software's Theme Installer.
