Wondrous Items

Book of Useful Things: This well-made tome is always of small size, typically no more than 12 inches tall, 8 inches wide, and 1 inch thick. All such books are durable and waterproof. The pages of a book of useful things depict a number of items of non-magical equipment. If an item's picture is touched then the item manifests itself in the user's hands. The item is permanent and functions as normal in all respects. The book can be used three times per day, and each item may only be summoned once per day. The magic of a page is destroyed if the page is defaced, torn, removed, or damaged in any way. The book of useful things contains the following items:

  • A flask of acid
  • A dagger
  • A steel mirror
  • A flask of oil
  • A silk rope
  • A smokestick
  • A sunrod
  • A tanglefoot bag
  • A thunderstone
  • A waterskin (full)

Boots of Walking: These sturdy boots enable the wearer to walk as if using the air walk or water walk spells as per the spell description. The boots work once per day to perform either air walking or water walking.
Caster Level: 7th; Prerequisites: Craft Wondrous Item, air walk, water walk; Weight: 1lb.

Cloak of the Winds: This cloak of fine grey cloth moves as if disturbed by a gentle breeze when worn, and by a strong wind when any of its powers are used. Three times per day the wearer can invoke a gust of wind or wind wall as per the spell description. In addition the cloak allows the wearer to make great wind-assisted leaps. The wearer can jump with a +10 competence bonus to Jump checks, and the wearer's jumping distance is not limited by their height.

Key of Unlocking: This plain iron key allows the user to open locked, barred, stuck, held, and arcane locked doors and chests by invoking a knock as per the spell description. The key should be lightly rapped against the door or chest to function, and works once per day.
