This book takes place in India (at first)in palace of the Mahajapa. It is supposed be the sequel to The Cigars of the Phaoroh (even though it came out first). In this book, the Rajaija poison juice returns(from the Cigars of the Pharoah) when the mad fakir escapes to Shangai. Tintin goes on and chases him and the new bad guys. Also, Tintin makes a new friend (a kid named Chang). Now allied, Tintin and Chang must stop the gangsters creating the Rajaija poison; the poison of madness! This book is full of suspense and the ending is amazing! You've gotta read it, to believe it!
Rating Comment: This book is fun to read the first few times, but you may become tired of it later on; but it still is a great book!!

    The Seven Crystal Balls

This book is one of my favorites. It starts ot on a train when Tintin is reading the newspaper. It tells about the Sanders-Hardiman expedition who came back from South America and discovered a new ancient civilization in Peru (This civilization is a lot like the Egyptian one!). Another passenger on the train tells Tintin that the uncovering of the Inca tombs will lead to trouble. Just like King Tutanchamen's tomb! As the passenger says, trouble does strike. Everyone on the Sanders-Hardiman expedition falls into a deep coma. Near everyone who falls into the coma is a crystal ball! Suddenly, Professor Calcus is kidnapped! What's happening to all the members of the expedition? Where is Professor Calculus? Read the book and its sequel (Prisoners of the Sun) to find out!
Rating Comment: This book is great! It takes a lot of resemblances to Ancient Egypt. The story is so long, Herge made a sequel to it. Read The Prisoners of the Sun to find out what happens after The Seven Crystal Balls!

Tintin and Captain Haddock reach Peru in hopes to find out where Professor Calculus is. Soon enough they find him on a ship with Peruvians only! Tintin does not want to be captured and slips away from the ship before anyone finds him. He wonders what a strange bracelet is doing on Calculus's arm. Unfortunately, Tintin is spotted by Pueblo (General Alcazar's partner) and has to escape from the ship quicker then he planned. He gets out of the ship and swims back to shore to tell Captain Haddock. They hide between some rocks and see the crew of the ship escaping on a small boat. Tintin then meets a kid names Zorrino who is willing to take Tintin to the place where Professor Calculus is. It happens to be an ancient Inca temple. Tintin and the gang soon find out that the professor has commited sacriledge by wearing the strange bracelet that Tintin saw. How will Tintin save the professor? Is Zorrino making a plot to capture Tintin? Read the book to find out!
Rating Comment: This is an excellent book, but I do believe The Seven Crystal Balls has a lot more suspense. However, this is a great book and it deserves to be one of the top Tintin books. I have one more thing to say....Read it!

Tintin in the Land of the Soviets
The first Tintin book ever! It is a rare book and only the lucky few own it. I have not read this book and got the info from a friend. Tintin is sent to the Russia as a repoter from Petit Vingtième. From the start, the bad people in Russia consider him a meddler and want to get rid of him. At the end, Tintin kind of denounces the Soviet Union system to help Belgium. When he returns to Belgium, he is known as a hero.
Rating Comment: The book sounds very interesting but unfortunately, it almost impossible to own it! I am not sure how accurate this summary is and I will update it as soon as I can!

    The Secret of the Unicorn
One of the more detective works of Tintin. In this book, we learn more about Captain Haddock's and his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock who was a little like Robison Crusoe in some ways. Sir Francis Haddock was a sailor and one dayb his ship (The Unicorn) was raided by some pirates. Their leader was Red Rakhem. After a duel against Sir Francis Haddock and Red Rackhem, Red Rackhem was dead and Haddock blew up the ship with dynamite and escaped in the nick of time!! He landed in a deserted island until he was rescued. Here comes the important part. Sir Francis Haddock told his 3 sons to make a model of the Unicorn and in each to put a parchment od the latitude and longitude of the location of the ship. Well, now after Tintin hears this he's off to find the 3 parchments in hopes to find the Unicorn (and most importantly, Red Rakhem's Treasure!!!!) But it won't be easy. Someone else wants the treasure too, and willind to do anything to get all 3 parchments... anything....

Rating Comment: A pretty good book if you like mystery and detective work like Sherlock Holmes. It is a very good book and I think you should read both this book, and its sequel, Red Rakhem's Treasure!

    Cigars of the Phaoroh
In this book, we meet Tintin and Snowy who are supposed to be on vacation. Unfortunately, their next adventure is anything but a vacation. First, Tintin meets an archaeologist with the name Dr. Sarcophagus. He is a bit odd and it amazes me how he became an archaologist (I also wonder how Thomson and Thompson became detectives)!!! Well anyways, Tintin tells him that he is a reporter and the Dr. tells Tintin to join him on his way to Cairo to unmask the tomb of an ancient king. Soon enough, they find it and they are caught inside the tomb. Tintin finds out that no other person who has gone inside this tomb has ever come out!!! Tintin is then shocked to see that there are actually some cigarettes inside the tomb. What the???? Then suddenly and chloroform comes from nowhere and makes Tintin unconscious... What happens next???

Rating comment: I left this book in a cliffhanger because I really think you should this book. There is no reason I need to say this book is GREAT!!!!! OK, if you want to find out what happens next
