About Tommy - A Brief Bio

Tommy Short has been playing and singing since he was eight years old. He was heavily influenced by his father, Vernon Shortt, who played Bluegrass music as he listened to him play and sing while growing up at home. Tommy began playing locally around Southwest, Virginia, and the neighboring states of Kentucky and Tennessee. He has recorded several CDs and sings traditional and original country music. The last band he played in was Crossroads from Gate City, Virginia. Here are a couple of places Tommy has played:
- In 2006 sang at the Charlie Daniel's Fan Club party in Mount Joliet, TN
- He has also appeared on a local channel WCYB Channel 5 in Bristol, TN
