Old Ronda
Flamingos
Ronda is a truely stunning place. The drive up from the coast was stunning.
There is a campsite 2km's North of the Old Town. The ground is a bit hard, or maybe I'm getting old.
In the breeding season La Laguna Fuente de Piedra is full of flamingos. We were there out of season, but it was still a great sight.
Rooftops of Antequera
At the site near this lake, we were more or less the only people. The town was very quiet nite and day.
The Town of Antequera is about 20km's North of the lake.
It is a beautiful town with an old Muslim Fortress called the Alcazaba which dominates the town
El Toro de Osborne
The rooftops of Antequera are a sight to be seen
The highlight of Cordoba was the Mezquita. It is truely impressive inside. Spain lost out when they expelled the Muslims
La Mezquita in Cordoba
These toros were an advertisement for Sherry, now are a symbol of Andalucia
Stained Glass Window
Inside La Mezquita in Cordoba. It used to be a Mosque, then it was converted into a cathedral after the reconquest.
We brought quite a bit of salchichon and chorizo whilst we were there. I can't wait to eat it.
Cordoba is a nice city, I do prefer Seville. We would of gone on to Granada as well but we were a little short of time.
When we return to Spain, we will be hiring a car again. It was so much easier, and Lina is a good driver.
Malaga was a nice enough city. But one day was plenty. The only reason we went there was because we were flying out of Malaga.
