mile north of Cobb on Forestry Road, off Highway 175 , is the Boggs Mountain
State Recreation Area. It has 3,493 acres of woodland and 14 miles of
trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians.

Clear
Lake State
Park has 300 acres of land at the foot of
Mt. Konocti. Campgrounds, nature trails,
fishing, swimming, boating and cycling are some of the activities offered.
There is a Visitor Center with interpretive displays.

The Knoxville Recreation Area, 17,700 acres of rugged terrain with elevations
from 1,000 to 2,000 feet, is located 13 miles from Lower Lake on Morgan Valley
Road near the Homestake Mining Company. The Lower Hunting Creek Camp has
5 shelter sites and some facilities while the 3 other camps are primitive
hunting camps with no facilities. There are trails for Off-Highway Vehicles
and areas for Target Shooting.

has bass and sunfish.
