Orin is the acknowledged ruler of Earth's oceans, he can communicate with sealife via the "Clear" and is physically adapted to operating in the ocean depths. In recent years he has become bombastic and more than a little gruff making the younger heroes wary of him/].

BATMAN I (Bruce Wayne)
Founding member, joined JLA MIDSUMMERS NIGHMARE #3
President of Wayne Industies and Chairman of the Wayne Foundation. Considered to be an urban legend by many he is the defacto-guardian of Gotham City. Belived to be amoungst the top five martial artists in the world and the world's greatest detective. Batman is currently employeed in a gambit to unite and rebuild the shattered remains of Gotham City.

Big Barda
BIG BARDA (Barda Free)
Ambassador from New Genesis, joined JLA #16
Former leader of Darkseid's Female Furies, she later moved to Earth/New Genesis with her husband Scott Free (Mister Miracle II). Assigned to the JLA by the Highfather of the New Gods as Orion's keeper. She is super-strong, has access to New Genesian technology and yet prehaps her most destructive weapon is her cooking.

Flash
FLASH III (Wally West)
Founding member, joined JLA MIDSUMMERS NIGHMARE #3
As Kid Flash he was founder of the Teen Titans and progedy of Barry Allen (Flash III). Assumed mantel of the Flash upon the death of Allen. Link to the "Speed Force" makes him the fastest man alive. Current whereabout: Unknown.

Green Lantern
GREEN LANTERN V (Kyle Rayner)
Founding member, joined JLA MIDSUMMERS NIGHMARE #3
Freelance artist and graphic designer. Possessor of the last Oan power ring. Assumed identity of Green Lantern after the destruction of the Guardians by Parallax. Initially inexperinced he has since proven himself to fellow JLA members as their equal.

Huntress
HUNTRESS II (Helena Bertinelli)
Came on board during the reorganisation, joined JLASF #2
A Gotham City vigilantie known for her violent methods. Membership sponsered by the Batman in an attempt to temper her agression. A skilled hand-to-hand combatant she prefers the use of a minature crossbow. Currently asstranged from Batman due to difference over her use of the Batgirl II identity.

Martian Manhunter
MARTIAN MANHUNTER (J'onn J'onzz)
Founding member, joined JLA MIDSUMMERS NIGHMARE #3
Sole survivor of the planet Mars he was brought to Earth by a teleportation ray and has spent decades undercover in an entire legion of assumed identities. Went public following the debue of Superman and was a founding member of the JLA. He has been a JLA member longer than any other and serves as the heart of the team.

Oracle
ORACLE (Barbara Gordon)
Came on board during the reorganisation, joined JLASF #2
Daughter of Gotham Police Comissioner James Gordon she enjoyed a peroid as the costumed vigilantie Batgirl I before she was crippled in an attack on her civilian identity by the Joker. Now restricted to a wheelchair she has become an information broker suppling infomation to the metahuman community. Works closely with the second Black Canary.

Orion
ORION (-)
Ambassador from New Genesis, joined JLA #16
Son of Darkseid of Apokolips he was exchanged with the son of the then Highfather as part of a pease pact with New Genesis. Raised on New Genesis he became the Dog of War and propercty says that he will one day confrom and kill Darksied. Known for his extreme rage and power he was assigned to the JLA by the current Highfather to prepare for the battle with Mageddon.

Plastic Man
PLASTIC MAN (Eel O'Brien)
Assissted against the Injustice Gang, joined JLASF #2
A reformed petty criminal he operates a as private detective with partner Woosy (?) Winks. Recruited by the Batman to influtrate the Injustice Gang as the Joker he was later granted full membership during the leagues reorganisation. He has the ability to shape his body into anyform that he can imagine and often serves as the Leagues comic relief.

Steel
STEEL III (Dr John Henry Irons)
Came on board during the reorganisation, joined JLASF #2
When the alien Doomsday seemingly killed Superman four different sucessors appeared in Metropolis, the Man of Steel and then later just Steel was one of those. A former weapons designer he created the Steel armour to destroy his own weapons that were loose on the streets of Metropolis. He is currently Chief of Staff at the Garden State Medical Centre and the JLA's technologist.

Superman
SUPERMAN (Kal-El/Clark Kent)
Founding member, joined JLA MIDSUMMERS NIGHMARE #3
Sole survivor of the technologically advanced planet Krypton. He was rocket to Earth in an artifical womb and was raised by Kansas farmers as Clark Kent. Feeling a responsibility to use his vast powers to protect others he created the Superman identity in order to protect his adopted parents and friends. Now he has become one of the most important people in human history and is the leader of the JLA and Earth's metahuman community.

Wonder Woman
WONDER WOMAN I (Diana)
Founding member, joined JLA MIDSUMMERS NIGHMARE #3
Avatar and agent of the Olympian gods. She was created out of clay by Queen Hippolyta of Paradise Island and was given life by the Olympian Gods. Later she became their ambassador in Patriachs World seeking to spread a message of love and pease. For a time she joined her mentors as Diana, Goddess of Truth but has since relinquised her position to return to the role of Wonder Woman.

Zauriel
ZAURIEL (-)
Assisted against Asmodel and Neron, joined JLASF #2
Zauriel was a member of the Eagle Host in the army of Heavan. A Guardian Angle since the dawn of time he relinquished his position to become mortal. The League helped him stop the rogue angel of the Bull Host Azmodel and in return Heavan made him their official representative on Earth. Operationing from a floating fortress over Los Angeles he has become the League's expert on mystical and supernatural menaces.
