From Manager: We are reopening soon, just a short distance from Ft.
Benning Recreation Area. We are totally renovating this rather exclusive (no
alcohol, no pets, no tents) 1/2 acre, 11 site park to be an elegant
camping location across from the Bay, attractive to seniors with newer
motorhomes and luxury fifth wheels. We offer beautiful landscaping and
a quiet, residential atmosphere. We plan a small putting green and
quaint morning room on the porch for coffee and the morning papers, a
coin laundry, bicycle rentals and shady sites surrounding a beautiful
bathhouse lighthouse with cultured marble and Italian tile.. We are
within walking distance of many parks and and a white sandy beach on the
Bay. Since Ft. Benning uses a one month limit on camping, we will also,
and hopefully some of these retired military will want to extend their
stay at our campground. We will offer military discounts as well.

restrictions, visitors requested to check in with office for directions to sites.

From Manager: We have 95 sites, 70 with full
hook ups. Many are pull throughs and we have concrete pads, gravel pads and
grass pads. Many of the sites have concrete patios and there are also
several sites with 50 amp. The sites are large and we can accommodate slide
outs and big rigs. We have a large clubhouse and adult lounge and laundry
facilities and a pool. We have 70 acres of lush meadows in a park-like
setting and offer both open and shady sites. We're very clean and quiet but
close to all of the historic attractions, seven championship golf courses,
many fine restaurants and all of the outlet malls. With easy access from
Interstate 64, take Exit 231A, then take the second left (about 1/4 mile)
onto Maxton Lane (there is a Mennonite Church on the corner), you go down
Maxton approx.. 3/10 of a mile and take the first left into the park. The
only thing that anyone needs to watch for is the fact that the highway signs
still read with the old name, Williamsburg Manor RV Resort-but if you keep
both the old name and the new name in mind this will help with any
confusion.
