Jabez G. Fox, b: Sept 2, 1802 in Sheffield, Berkshire County, Mass. and Anice Caroline Bronson, b: Nov. 22, 1807 in North Haven Ct. were married in Roxbury, Ct. March 6,1833. Siblings for Jabez are Ephriam Fox, Rufus Fox, Eli Fox, Amos Fox. Very little is known about Anice Caroline Bronson. I am looking at a Josiah Bronson or Abel Bronson that lived in Roxbury, Ct. at the same time.

M(a)cDOUGAL(L), COE - I am looking for any information on Rev. John H. McDougal b-late 1700's and was said to have lived somewhere in Connecticut. My guess is that it may have been in the southwest corner of the state as his parents were from NYC. His father was a bookbinder in NYC and is buried near St. Paul's Church in NYC. His mother bound him out to a drover when his father died and that may be how he ended up in or near Connecticut. He married Sarah Ann COE around 1800 and had their first child David b-9/10/1807, twins; Harry b-5/8/1808 and Harriet b-5/8/1808, Cyrus b-11/8/1810, and possibly one other son Samuel b-5/9/1824 d-7/11/1824(questionable). John and Sarah moved to Chemung County, N.Y. when the children were young, 1810's. Any information would be appreciated and will share what I have. Thanks in advance for any response. Joseph EDWARDS moved from Kent, Litchfield, Connecticut to Fairfield County, Ohio about 1820. He died there by 1829. A Nathan SMITH was one of the executors of his will. Nathan was born 1780-1790. In 1830 in Fairfield County, Ohio, he had wife, one son under 5 and 3 daughters. Does anyone have any further information on Nathan? Joseph sold property to John SMITH in Kent just before leaving Connecticut. Is there a connection between Nathan and John?? Looking for Joseph Edwards wife.

I am looking for information on Elisha HURLBUT who was born 3 Jul 1729 in Canaan, Litchfield, Connecticut. He married Elnor/Helichor Alta Hugaboom. He died in 1808. His son was Samuel HURLBUT (b. 1768 m. 1792 d. 1807). Samuel was married to Mary Polly Butler (b. 2 May 179 d. Oct 1827). Thank you for your time!

NICHOLS, Phebe- I am trying to identify the parents of Phebe Nichols (Baker.) She was born in Woodbury CT in 1724, married Elisha Baker, Sr. on October 20 1746 in Woodbury. The family moved to Williamstown MA, where Elisha died in 1796. He is buried at Westlawn Cemetery. Phebe died and was buried in Benson, VT on September 20, 1796. She is buried in the cemetery behind the old school in Benson. Her stone is legible and still standing. Any help would be appreciated.

Seek any info re Henry HUSSING/HUSING & wife Anna who lived on Wate/Waite (sp?) estate in Sharon, CT around 1900. Henry was caretaker; a home on the property was left to him. He died before 1927. Henry's mother was Meta A. (maiden name?) HUSSING/HUSING b. Germany 21June1833/d. NYC 07Dec1905. Henry had a sister Christina (b. Germany/m. John Henry BREMER in NYC) & a brother Frederick (b.25Feb1868 Germany/d.26Aug1911 Central Islip NY). Henry & Anna had 3 sons: Henry, George (moved to Long Island), & Rudolph (moved to Syracusae, NY). George CURTIS married Juliet Higley about 1850 and had a son (George) and daughter (Julia). Julia married a STONE Does anyone have any record of Curtis's living in Harwinton in the mid 1800's? Samuel BUELL, b. Kent CT 1740, 7th child of Samuel Buell of Lebanon, Hebron and Kent, married 1st Sarah HOLMES, at Kent, on 3 July 1760. She was described in Buell history as daughter of Israel HOLMES of Litchfield, and she lived 1741-1772 and had 6 children. However, History of Yates Co NY states Sarah was daughter of Peleg Holmes of Kent. Any information about Sarah's family would be appreciated.

McDOUGAL or McDUGAL, COE, WELLER - I am researching a John McDOUGAL or McDUGAL who lived in Connecticut in the very late 1700's and moved from there around 1810 to the Town of Veteran, Chemung County, New York. He was originally from New York City, but his mother put him out, when he was still young, to a drover after his father died. His father was a bookbinder in New York City and was burried in a cemetery near St. Peter's Church in New York City. John married a Sarah COE or WELLER, possibly in Connecticut. They had several young children before they left. David McDOUGAL b 9/10/1807 was very young when they left. His twin brother and sister, Harry and Harriet may have also been born in Connecticut also. Other siblings were born, but likely after they left. There have been family beliefs that John and Sarah may have lived also in the New York Counties near New York City. John was known to have been a travelling preacher in Chemung County and possibly in Connecticut also. I do have much more that I would like to share with anyone that may be related. NICHOLSON, Samuel B. was b. possibly in Litchfield Town, Litchfield Co., CT in 1792. He is found in Erie Co., NY in 1830. Spouse was Eunice CUMMINS. I'm searching for his parents, and wonder about a tie to an Ezra NICHOLSON, who also lived in Litchfield, CT and later in Erie Co., NY. Ezra died about 1844. Land records indicate his children may have been Samuel, Wilbur, James, Josiah and Joseph. I'm not sure about the females in Ezra's family.
