Our title shot for Sunset Crater is unique.  You can see both subject and photographer
simultaneously.
As you can see from this aerial shot, Sunset Crater is an active volcano.  It last erupted about a thousand years ago, and it is surrounded by thousands of acres of ash.
Visitors to the park are allowed to stroll along several paths were the lava flowed.
Curously, plant life had grown right out of the lava itself.
