NEBRASKA,
Land of the
Pony Express
Driving through Nebraska was fun, but roadwork took us all over the place.  We learned that in the days of the Pioneers, Nebraska has no trees.  Every tree you see in Nebraska today was planted there.

Settlers used to live in Sod homes.  It was very interesting to visit one of them:

Near the sod house, we found a park which featured an original Pony Express office.  (At first, we didn't think much of it, but we were taking pictures of of public Restrooms on the other side of the park.)
I bet I would have made a great
Pony Express Rider!
