Annapurna Massif

This slide shows part of the Annapurna Massif, viewed from Pokhara. The two peaks visible on the left side of the picture are Annapurna IV and Annapurna II. Their elevations are 24,682 and 26,033 feet above sea level, respectively. I was standing on top of the hotel in which my wife and I stayed when I took the shot. It was about 8:00 in the morning, and the air was exceptionally clear on account of the thunderstorm that had passed through the area the afternoon before. I used image processing software to trim the image, but otherwise it is unaltered.
