Kathesimbhu Stupa

This Buddhist stupa, known as the Kathesimbhu Stupa, is located in the Chhetrapati District in Kathmandu. The photograph was taken at midday and has been resized. Otherwise, it is unaltered. Recently, a kind reader disabused me of the notion that this is a Tibetan stupa. It is, it seems, a Newari stupa that is often used by Tibetan Buddhists. So, there you have it!
