Travel, Adventure, Foreign Lands:
Lonely Planet -- Excellent adventure travel advice.
Magun's Compass is one of the best (and most entertaining) sources of travel information I have seen on the web. In addition to pictures and travelogue, the compass points to a traveler's network where one can inquire about destinations throughout the world. Drop in on this fellow resident of The Tropics.
Bill's Lighthouse Getaway -- information for lighthouse enthusiasts.
Patrick O'Brien Homepage -- not a travel page per se, but well worth while.
Computers, the Internet,
Web-Authoring Resources:
Astrian.net Reference Data -- a wide variety of resources, including an on-line dictionary of hacker terminology.
Prof. David Grossman -- a computer wizard friend of mine.
Takedown -- Tsutomu Shimomura's website provides a fascinating account of the Keven Mitnick case.
Mark's Web Page -- This is where I found the program Araneae, which has proved most useful for web-scripting. I highly recommend the program to anyone who likes to write his own html.
Icon and Image Bazaar, ICONZ -- many of the icons on this site came from these sources.
Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Strange
Places:
A Princess of Mars -- An Edgar Rice Burroughs science fiction classic on-line.
C.J. Cherryh's Homepage -- Homepage of an excellent writer of science fiction and fantasy.
C.S. Friedman's Homepage -- see above.
Lankhmar -- a good source for information on Fritz Leiber's work.
Michael Whelan -- fantasy art.
