Kumbum Stupa, Pelkor Chode Monastery, Gyangtse, Tsang Province

The Kumbum, the only Nepalese-style stupa in Tibet, is located in the Pelkor Chode Monastery in Gyangtse. The stupa has numerous chapels dedicated to various Buddhist deities, and one can, with effort, climb to the top for an excellent view of the town and surrounding countryside.
