[Tibetan Lama]

Tibetan Lama

Unlike lay Tibetans, monks and lamas seem quite willing to have their pictures made. I met this lama at Drepung Monastery, and with a bit of gesturing communicated to him my desire to take his picture. He agreed and struck this contemplative pose. The slide has been cropped but is otherwise unaltered.
