Yaquina Head Lighthouse

Lighthouse at Yaquina Head, Oregon

This lighthouse stands on an extremely exposed headland on the Oregon coast. The day I took this picture, the wind was blowing at about 35-40 knots, raising very heavy seas and threatening to pitch young seabirds from their nests on the rocks into the violent waters below.
