Unplanned Happening: I have often said that one never really knows what is going to happen in the near future, even though we make good plans. Sometimes I wake up in the morning and think, "Lord, this could be my last day to live. Help me to use it wisely!" Well, something very unplanned happened! Would you believe that I'm writing from bed, with my leg propped up and in a cast? Yes, I broke my leg with a compound fracture on Saturday, March 16th while cutting down a tree just outside our

yard. I had set up a ladder to cut a branch to make the tree fall away from the fence. As the chain saw cut through, the branch kicked back and pushed me off the ladder, making me jump off onto uneven ground. My left leg took all the force of the fall, twisting my ankle with such force that I could hear the bones breaking even though the chain saw was still running. The main leg bone dislocated and pushed through the skin, protruding about an inch. Fortunately, Debbie was close by and was able to call our good friend and Station Director, Lee Lowell. He immediately came with his vehicle and took me to the hospital where surgery was performed, using two screws to get everything back together again. Our big concern is infection. Please pray that all will heal well and I'll be able to get back to normal soon. We had hoped to put up a tower for the new antenna, which I mentioned in my last letter. That will either have to wait, or someone else will have to pitch in. But God knows and will work it all out in a wonderful way! How we thank Him that nothing worse happened.

Antenna Project: The antenna project has been coming along quite nicely in other regards. All of the concrete bases have been poured and the ground work for the feed line is done. In February we did a major upgrade on the winch which will be used to erect the future towers. It was powered off the PTO shaft of a tractor and was a bit awkward and possibly unsafe to use. It so happened that some friends of ours, Sid and Betty Kamps were coming to visit us for a week. Sid and Betty run a seed potato farm in Montana and build much of their own machinery. So this was right down Sid's line of expertise and he pitched right in and converted the winch to run off of the hydraulics of a tractor. This gives much better control and a number of other safety factors. It is so neat to see how God brings the right people at just the right time! To top it off, we have had one of our supporting churches ask if I had a project they could raise money for. It looks like the Lord may bring that aspect together too, as it was not in our budget this year.

More Unplanned Happenings: You may remember that we told you that Rhonda, our daughter, is graduating from Bethel College this year. Debbie mentioned that since we were not able to do anything for her when she graduated from high school, it would be nice if we could do an open house for her this time. I wanted to go, but wasn't too sure because of the expense of traveling back and forth, so suggested that Debbie get her ticket and I stay in Swaziland. But when she came back to me with a half price ticket from what we expected, I changed my mind and said, "Get me one, I'm going too!" So...we'll be in Indiana from April 30th to May 13th. If you're in the Goshen area on the evening of May 5th, please come to the open house; we'd love to see you! Call my brother and his wife, Joel and Barb Blosser for more details at 574-533-8898. (Area code change from 219 to 574... you may have to try both.)

But that's not the end of the story! We received a phone call from a young man named, Scott Michael one evening asking if he could have Rhonda's hand in marriage. Wow! What would you have said!!!? It wasn't a complete surprise, but we had never met him before! Rhonda had been telling us about him and he seems to be a wonderful Christian young man, so in the end I gave my permission. Now I began to see why the Lord was directing us to go home for Rhonda's graduation. He actually wanted us to come home to meet Scott as well! Isn't it neat how the Lord works these things out! So...we'll be in Indiana in December as well, as at present it looks like the wedding will be on December 20th. I'd invite you to that too, but maybe I should wait for Rhonda's decision on that one.

I really wanted to include some exciting excerpts from our listeners, but I see I'm out of room. I'll try to include them next time. Stay tuned.
