This is a joint-degree program, shared by the College of Business
Administration and the College of Arts and Sciences. It is designed to prepare
students for the arena of international relations and trade. The liberal arts
curriculum, emphasizing cross-cultural understanding, critical thinking, and
skills in communication and technology, is complemented by
internationally-focused courses in economics, finance, management, and
marketing. The program meets all university-level requirements for graduation.
Its general education and core requirements do not, however, precisely match
those in any college. Distinctive to the program are requirements to enroll
in: (1) History 110-111, (2) two years of upper-division foreign language, (3)
a constellation of upper-division "world studies" elective courses, (4) a
series of internationally-focused courses in economics, finance, management,
and marketing, and (5) a semester-long practicum.
