| To our great releaf we left Alexandroupoli. We did not like the city: smelly and noisy. We took the highway to Didimotiho where some old buildings are to be found. |

| This day is what we call an 'off-day'. We visited Didimotiho, a nice small town, but not much to do. The few sights of interest can be visited in about one hour. After we did, we drank coffe and thee and went on to Orestiada. | ||
| Seriously: absolutely nothing worth mentioning about Orestiada. Its situiated on a plain between mountains and has no sights of interest to tourists. We arrived quite early in the afternoon, went for a walk, but returned to the hotel pretty soon. Fortunately we took along a couple of books, so we spent the rest of the day reading. | ||
| Day five: From Orestiada we drove through mountains and plains back to Komotini. |
