Staili za nywele = Hair Styles!
There is no wider variety of hair styles in any communities as you would find in an African community. Basic reason being the kind of hair that Africans are born with lends itself to multiple designs and styles without too much of texture modification or permanent damage. In Swahili we call our hair 'Nywele za koto' 'nywele' = hair, 'za' = of, 'koto' is a word probably derived from English to mean 'Cotton'. I think the during the age of colonialism British used to call our hair 'cotton hair' and so the word was taken and freely used in Swahili. {The real word for cotton in Swahili is 'Pamba'.}
Here in you will find different kinds of hair styles that one can do with African or mixed culture hair.
