Rainbow
                         by Victoria McCann - 1997

                            The raindrops fall
                          like bullets in a war…
                            the thunder strikes
                        and echoes through my soul…

                              I sit and think
                          what I’ve been through…
                         rain storms, snow storms,
                          loneliness and despair…

But now the sun will begin to shine…
as the last raindrops will fall
and a rainbow will light up my life…
it will show me the way,
                       the way to eternal happiness…

And I can see this rainbow in a distance…
however, what is at the other side?
It will take me a life time to find
the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow…
                           the mysterious prize,
at the end of a long journey…

Yet I know it is there.
I know I will reach it some day, some time…
                             When? I know not,
but I know I will get there,
                           some day, some time…
