Our final destination for the day was Eilat. Situated on the southern tip of Israel, Eilat is a prosperous resort on the Red Sea. The city resembles popular seaside, high-rise resorts in the U.S.

While Eilat has much to do and is a great destination in itself, it represented more of a staging point for us. We were headed into Jordan the next day to spend most of it in Petra.
