The trip that started a trend...... JULY 5-13, 1996
We were seniors in high school and we wanted to take a "spring break" vacation but being editor of the paper and hundreds of other responsiblities I couldn't go. So we decided that we would take a good-bye to high school trip to Walt Disney World Florida - who know that years later I would spend hours in front of the computer making a webpage about it! :) Anyway, we called my travel agent Mary and she set up a wonder trip for us, 8 nights and 9 full day at the Wilderness Lodge. Well, we were moving in I think. We had packed weeks before and had gotten tons of video tapes, and rolls of film. Soon, before we knew it the Fourth of July came and we spent the whole day with my parents, and didn't get home until after 11:00 p.m. we left the next morning at 6:05.
We were so sleepy and could hardly stay wake. We had a travel bag of almost thirty-six sodas so we didn't have to buy any. That was a very HEAVY bag!! (thanks for carrying it Amanda!) So we hopped onto our ATA airplain and we were gone!! When we arrived there we had the all-inclusive plan: WE GOT EVERYTHING!!! Meals, boat, into the park, you name it!!! By going to the "world"
we spend those days eating, and having the best time every there! We saw: Hoop-Dee-Doo musical review (which turned out to be a trend), the Poly's Mickey Mouse Luau, we loved eating at Tony's Town Square, and the Coral Reef. We had the strangest time in the Magic Kingdom. We spent nine days there and I think we only went the Pirates and the Haunted House. We could have sent some kind of record for the number of rides. Then we went to MGM-Studios and I met my idol: Jim Carrey. (ok it wasn't him, but he kinda looked like him!!) We video taped so much of this trip, (maybe I'll see it I can get some footage to work on this webpage)
