Special Thanks to: I used the background from David Norwood's

adding the famous "tee" in the background, as
well as adjusting a few colours.
Thanks to anyone whose objects I used.

Firestone Country Club's South Course was opened in 1929,
and was designed by Bert Way. Robert Trent Jones was hired to
re-design the then easy South Course (6,585 yard par 72) for the
1960 PGA Championship. When he was finished, the course was a 7,180
yard par 70 "Monster".
The 1960 PGA Championship was won by Jay Herbert. The PGA
Championship returned to Firestone twice more. In 1966, Al
Geiberger won, and in 1975, Jack Nicklaus claimed his fourth PGA
Championship.
The World Series of Golf became an annual tradition at
Firestone starting in 1962, and was held every year after, except
the two years when the PGA was held at Firestone. The tournament
was a 36 hole competition until 1976 when it was expanded to 72
holes.
The event became the NEC Invitational in 1999, and was one
of the three World Golf Championship events, with $1,000,000 going
to the winner in each. Almost all of golf's big names have won this
event. Jack Nicklaus won it five times. Gary Player won it three
times. Lee Trevino and Tom Watson have won it. Right down to the
past two champions, David Duval in 1998 and Tiger Woods in 1999.
The course is record is 61, set by Jose Maria Olazabal in
1990. Tiger Woods shot 62 in 1999.

This is my second completed real life course design from
scratch. My first was the TPC at Heron Bay, co-designed with Chip
Hughes. I also did re-dos of Carnoustie and The Country Club of
Brookline.
The pallette here was created by myself, but as mentioned
before, the background and objects were borrowed.
