Florida The Sunshine State On October 11, 1981 I crossed the Florida border with my 4 kids in a U-haul truck. We were moving from Marietta, GA to Tampa. I had never really though about Florida, having grown up in California I barely knew Florida existed. I thought Florida was one large beach & that it was all sand & palm trees. What a surprise I had - it was the best move I ever made. Come with me now as I share with you - my state!
