Day 4 Sue We spent the morning packing up the gear for the trip. Adam was in charge of cleaning out the "eskies" (which turned out to be a slight tactical error). Adam was wicked with the hose and soaked David. Amanda finally got control of the hose and turned the tables on Adam. Adam was soaked from head to toe and as a result had to get out of his favourite track pants. Thank goodness Amanda and I insisted on getting him jeans at Target earlier in the day. After a late start we headed out to the mountains. The scenery was beautiful going from the flat lands to the sandstone mountains. We arrived in the camp ground around 5 pm and I had a wonderful time watching the children pitch the tents. By the time the camp was organized it was "tea time" and we dined on hotdogs and nachos. The fresh air made the meal taste even better! It gets dark early in the mountains so everyone was sound asleep by 9 pm. Amanda got to see the Southern Cross for the first time!
