Quebec Trip

The car arrived on time and we got to Newark Airport
two hours early.  We left from Newark, because it was
the only nonstop flight we could get.  When it was time
to board the plane, they opened the doors and I saw
a small plane with PROPELLERS!  I was in shock!!

All I can remember for the two hours it took us to get
there, was Arlene talking, feeling sick to my stomach,
listening to the noise, feeling the vibration and
looking at those PROPELLERS!!!!!

We hopped into a cab and arrived at the Chateau Frontenac.
It was named in honor of GovernorFrontenac and opened
in 1893 and it became thesymbol of Quebec.  It's massive!!
Went into thelobby and checked in.  Guess what..we got upgraded
to a suite!!  (it took off some of the sting .. from being on
a prop plane..lol)  The lobby was very old world and I liked
the hotel immediately.  Our room was fantastic and had
windows on 3 sides of the room.  We looked out and saw
the St. Lawrence River!!  After unpacking we went outside to
the Terrasse Dufferin which has a huge statue of Champlain
and there starts the boardwalk that is anchored to the cliff and
overlooks the St. Lawrence.  Impressive? .. VERY!!!  We walked
in the opposite direction and found a street of restaurants.  We
decided on eating at Cafe de Paris, which served both French
and Italian.  We ate outside and both enjoyed our dinner.  We
browsed a street called "Artists Alley" (a long narrow alley,
where artists display and sell their paintings..very nice..VERY
expensive) and some clothing stores..very nice..VERY expen-
sive ;-D  We then decided to go back to our room and map out
our touring for the next 4 days.
