This is Madras in visuals.  I have tried to give a reasonably good perspective of the landmarks of Madras.  Some of these photographs are more than landmarks - they are Madras, in all its color, blending in the old and the new, the conservative and the radical, the ancient and the modern, the mute and the voiced, the transitory and the immortal.     

Madras has often suffered the ignominy of being termed the conservative of places. Tourists and visitors in the last decade would definitely speak for the modernity of Madras. And so do these buildings, the changing face of Madras.
