| Located south of Galway Bay at Ireland's west coast, the Cliffs stretch over 8 km.
At O'Brien's Tower the cliffs are over 200 m high. From this tower,
you may even see the Aran Islands - if the weather is good (it was very bad
on both my visits). The tower was erected by Sir Cornelius O'Brien who subsequently
run a small tea house at the tower.
While there are always a lot of people on the way to and from the tower, you will find
considerably fewer people on the narrow trail south of the viewing platform. This path -
rather close to the edge of the cliffs,

			beware of strong winds

			- leads you to Hag's Head approximately 5 km away.
