My Kitchen

I always tell my friends how much I enjoy cooking my own dishes. I don't think many of you have tried. Anyway, I am sorry about this as I couldn't hold too many people in my tiny place. However, I do want to share some of my favourite dishes. The pictures were taken in my place with an instant camera. So, picture quality is not so good. I believe the dishes look much better in real!

Snacks:

This is fried dumplings. I wrapped the dumplings in the same way as soup wonton. The only difference is I fried it instead of putting them in soup. Stuffings include grounded pork and fresh bak choy.

Main dishes:

This hainan chicken was a treat for Ed's mom. I like hainan chicken because the rice is cooked with chicken soup. Plus, I fried the raw rice with garlic and ginger before cooking. The "green sauce" in the plate is smashed ginger and green onion which I made myself. And the "red sauce" is chili sauce which I bought from supermarket.

I also fried spinach with two types of Chinese preserved eggs. People usually call this as "gold and silver spinach.

This is called "sha cha beef" in which I fried beef with carrots, onion, green pepper, pineapple with "sha cha" sauce.

The right side is the fried beef in wok.

Desserts:

This is not a normal green bean cake.. Just joking! I know many people have made this type of green bean pudding before. It took me a while to cook the green bean soup and stack the layers. The white layers are made of coconut juice.

Hopefully, you can see something inside the container. This is "rice cream", a Norwegian dessert made of rice, whipped cream, milk and sugar.
