| The Great Stupa at Sanchi. Although there's no direct connection with the life of Buddha, Sanchi contains some of the finest Buddhist monuments in India that, unusually, are well tended to. It's a lovely, tranquil place, its only drawback being the vociferous mosquitos that also inhabit the area. |
