Radio Nova (Dublin)

Radio Nova in Dublin was one of the most popular of the Irish 'pirates'. Run by Chris Carey whose involvement in Radio stems from Radio Caroline in 1967, Radio Free London (Alongside Peter Chicago and co), Radio Northsea International, and the returning Caroline in the seventies. Later to be involved with legit radio in the UK and several reincarnations of the Nova brand in the late eighties / early nineties.

Radio Nova Dublin also featured many offshore names from the late seventies and also created some air talent that later when out to the new ships.

The clip below is rather short and un remarkable. I will put some more up once i have hunted through my poorly labelled collection.

Recorded in the UK via the 819 AM frequency used. Nova also used Long Wave at times and FM locally in Dublin..
