Beaches, Beaches, Beaches

Want to see a glimpse of paradise? For me, this is - white beaches, crystal seas, palm trees, peerless blue skies. And walking even at midday at a temperature of 35 degrees C , with sand that never gets hot under your foot.

Boracay Island

This is a true getaway island; bone-shaped; located 43 miles from the tip of Panay's northeastern coast. It is 7km. (4 miles) long and not quite 1 km. (.6 mile) wide at its narrowest point. It has crystal clear warm seas, dazzling white-sand beaches, coconut palms and balmy breezes.

Other things that you can do there: get a boatman to take you on a ride in his "banca" and go round the island. Maybe land on an offshore islet or secluded cove with a picnic basket and snorkel.

Or, take to the hills and byways on a mountain bike, or on horseback and follow the jagged coast line.. Or jog and swim into the mirror-like waters..And in-between - just simply vegetate and lie with a book beside you on a hammock tied between two palm trees.
