Bohol

Located in Central Visayas, Bohol is the 10th largest island with a land area of over 4,117 sq. Kilometer. It is surrounded by small islands and islets, some of them disappearing at high tide. Although some islands are uninhabited, still these are accessible.

Its main attractions are its white sandy beaches still mostly unspoilt , waterfalls, caves, lush vegetation and wildlife. There are winding rivers and panaromic mangroves which make for an exciting cruise into the deep recesses of the island. Natural coral havens are home to a myriad of aquatic life. Diving spots abound in several islands.

. Some of the more well known beaches are found in Panglao, a peninsula-like island linked to the mainland by two causeways. A popular dive spot is Balicasag Island. Some 1.5 hectares(out of a total of 25 hectares) have been developed into a resort. Its crystal clear blue waters, underwater formations, and tropical fishes can be seen from as low as two (2) feet of the water. .

Other islands that you must see are: Cabilao Island, Inanoran Island, Pungtud Island, Pamilacan Island

Bohol is particularly popular for the Chocolate Hills. This natural wonder consists of hundreds of dome shaped limestone hills covered with grass which dries up and turns brown under the sun.
