Taal Volcano

From a vantage point in Tagaytay Ridge in Batangas, you can see a crater within a lake enclosed by another crater in a larger
lake. Mt. Taal is one of the lowest and most active volcaanoes,
with 35 cones, 47 craters, and more than 30 submerged volcanic landforms.
To get there, take a bus or jeepney to Talisay, a lakeside town in Batangas. (This takes you 1-1/2 hrs.) Then hire a motorized banca to take you across the lake to the Commission on Volcanology station. Trek towards the old crater and then to the other side of Volcano Island.
Take a motorized banca back to Talisay. It is advisable to stay overnight in Talisay or in any of the beach resorts in Batangas.
