Kakadu National Park

While one of the most amazing sites anywhere is a herd of wild horses running, this non-native species is not good for the wetlands. Thundering hooves compact the soil.

I noticed this little Agile Wallaby (Macropus agillis) hiding under a bush when I stopped alongside the road to look at a large flock of cockatoos.

There must have been about 50 Cockatoos in this tree near one of the lodges and about as many in surrounding trees and on the ground. Glad I stayed at Gajadu Cooinda and not here as these guys are extremely noise. These cockatoos are  Little Corellas (Cacatua pastinator).
