| If you've been to Yellowstone, you'll remember the distinct sulfur
smell. Rotorua has the same scent. And
like Yellowstone, has geysers, mud pots, hot springs. There is a lot to do here, but it is also rather touristy. Definitely see the geothermal attractions. For souvenirs, I found good deals on wood carvings at the the NZ Maori Arts & Crafts Institute at the Te Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve. |
