| Toowoomba is a short drive from Brisbane. Not perhaps a major tour stop, but certainly worth it for those who want to get away from big tourism and big cities. The people are friendly, the pace relaxed, and the view from Picnic Point is incredible. Known for its gardens and parks, Toowoomba hosts a Carnival of Flowers every September. There are some nice trails in this area as well. |  |
