Wanna cut a little rug, cher'?
This is probably the first trip I did any real pre-planning for, and really
let myself cut loose with the pocketbook. There was lots of driving, involved,
but that was part of the fun. I found some almost non-existent towns in
Mississippi on the way down, and got to see a little of what life can be
like there. Jazz fest was an absolute blast for a music lover. There were
multiple stages... gospel, big band, blues, and my favorite, Cajun, where there
were always feet stomping and swinging. On from there to the Everglades,
where kayaking, canoeing, and hiking can all get you off
the beaten path. Life teems all around. Take a little time, and you might
see snakes, alligators, manitee, dolphins, cougars, and birds and insects
galore.
