Even early in the morning it can get pretty crowded, big bunches of school students, young Burmese people who want to practice their English or just take a picture with you, "guides" always willing to tell you more about the pagoda and add details to your Lonely Planet they immediatly recognise, and this continous wonderul flow of monks in saffron or dark red robes.
