Alizee is
Mylene Farmer's new prodigee who is singing some
great French pop music. Sometimes called France's
answer to Britney, I don't really agree, because
she's better! Much more...French. She comes
from Corsica and was discovered on the M6 TV show
Graines de Star. Mylene Farmer and Laurent
Bouttonant wrote the song Moi...Lolita for
her and that was history- it became one of the
biggest selling songs of 2000. Her follow up single
L'Alizee was great, but the pick of her
quirky album tracks is Abracadabra with the
spooky piano and cool meowing cat sounds. Look out,
because despite her songs not being in English,
Moi...Lolita has already come out in Germany
and Holland and gone Top Ten and is scheduled for
an early February release in the UK.
