Champagnole
is a town of 9000 people located in the beautiful
Jura mountains at an altitude of 540m in France,
90km north of Geneva. I lived there for all of the
year 2000, and I loved it. I was on a
Rotary Youth Exchange and was hosted by the
Rotary Club of Champagnole, and I stayed with
four families of the area for approximately three
months each.
I went to
school at Champagnole's big school Lycee Paul-Emile
Victor, where there are 900 students from Grade 10
to 12.
Other
towns/villages I frequented during my time there
were Arbois, Vannoz, Chapois, Foncine-Le-Haut,
Lons-Le-Saunier and Besancon.
If you are
an exchange student going to the
Alsace/Franche-Comte Rotary district, then you're
welcome to contact
me
for any info.
