Types of routes

Local:

These routes stop approximately every 2 blocks. All run weekdays and most run Saturdays and Sundays.

Express (Includes MetroLink Routes 1 & 2):

These routes stop mostly at major intersections. All run Weekdays and Rt. 1, 6, and 8 run Saturday and Sunday. These routes also usually have limited schedules. No additional charge applies.

Freeway Flyers:

Park and Ride lotsThese routes go between Downtown and park and ride lots in the suburbs. These routes travel weekdays only and travel inbound during the morning rush, and outbound during the evening rush. At least one trip per route goes the opposite direction (out in the AM, inbound in the PM). An additional charge is applied.

UBUS Routes:

These are routes that travel to and from UWM. They go to Park and Ride lots or travel along major streets. These routes only run weekdays, and only Rt. 5 operates during the Summer months. These routes may be used as express routes by anyone along the streets they travel. No additional charge is applied.
