Our first stop on our "acropolis" tour was a three-column ruin on
top of a very windy hill.
The Rotterdam is really a lot further away than it looks, thanks
to the telephoto lens.
I was thinking that the acropolis left something to be desired,
but we went next to Lindos, and that was beautiful. I took so many
pictures that this is a small selection:
This is the view from the ruins. It is where St Paul is reported
to have landed.
After a visit to a ceramics factory, we were taken on a tour of
old Rhodes, and had pointed out to us where the Colossus stood - at
the end of an old street, not across the bay, according to our guide.
A view of the ship from the city.
A couple of scenes from the old town.
