Reasons for the Rapture
If you have not read the Rapture, go to it now.
To understand the reasons for the rapture, we need a background on some biblical facts and worldwide events after the time of the rapture.
A. Biblical Facts:
1. Abraham seed is made up of:
a. Descendants by flesh.
|
Psalms 105:6 O seed of Abraham, His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones! |
Jeremiah 33:22
'As the host of heaven cannot be counted and the sand of the sea cannot be measured, so I will multiply the descendants of David My servant and the Levites who minister to Me.'
Hosea 1:10
Yet the number of the sons of Israel
Will be like the sand of the sea,
Which cannot be measured or numbered..."
b. Descendants by faith.
John 8:39
They answered and said to Him, "Abraham is our father." Jesus *said to them, "If you are Abraham's children, do the deeds of Abraham."Hosea 2:23
"I will sow her for Myself in the land.
I will also have compassion on her who had not obtained compassion,
And I will say to those who were not My people,
'You are My people!'
And they will say, 'You are my God!' "
2. Spirits cannot reproduce.
The humans that are part of the first resurrection will be spirit, therefore unable to reproduce. The second resurrection (of the flesh) does not occur till after the millennium. Read The 1st Resurrection/Hope of the Christians.
Matthew 22:30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. Mark 12:25 For when they rise from the dead, they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. |
|
1 Corinthians 15:42
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown
a perishable body, it is raised an imperishable body.
B. Worldwide events that will happen after the rapture.
1. There will be no place on earth for Abraham's children to hide during the government of the leopard-like beast.
Revelation 13:3
I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast;
Revelation 13:7
It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
Revelation 13:8
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain.
Revelation 20:4
... And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
The Christians killed by the government of the beast are raised to spirit form during the first resurrection.
2. The saints that return with Jesus
during Armageddon are flesh and blood.
These are the descendants of the humans taken from Earth at the time of the rapture. The first resurrection does not occur till after the return of Christ with his saints for the battle of Armageddon, therefore, the saints are not spirit, but flesh and blood.
3. The gene pool will be reduced on earth after Armageddon.
|
Isaiah 13:12 I will make mortal man scarcer than pure gold And mankind than the gold of Ophir. |
4. The humans that are left alive on this earth after Armageddon are flesh and blood.
Zechariah 14:16
Then it will come about that any who are left of all the nations that went against Jerusalem will go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
Zechariah 14:17
And it will be that whichever of the families of the earth does not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, there will be no rain on them.
|
Zechariah 14:18 If the family of Egypt does not go up or enter, then no rain will fall on them; it will be the plague with which the LORD smites the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths. |
Zechariah 14:19
This will be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Feast of Booths.
Zechariah 14:20
In that day there will be inscribed on the bells of the horses, "HOLY TO THE LORD." And the cooking pots in the LORD'S house will be like the bowls before the altar.
Zechariah 14:21
Every cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the LORD of hosts; and all who sacrifice will come and take of them and boil in them. And there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts in that day.
They need rain to grow crops. They need pots because people still eat. The pots are holy because people will not be eating unclean foods such as pork and lobster.
5. The first resurrection occurs after Armageddon.
The saints, (humans) that return with Jesus at that time, are flesh and blood till the first resurrection occurs.
1 Thessalonians 4:15
For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep.
1 Thessalonians 4:16
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
Revelation 20:4
Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand; and they came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:5
The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.
Revelation 20:6
Blessed and holy is the one who has a part in the first resurrection; over these the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him for a thousand years.
Those believers that may be left on this earth after the rapture and are alive at the time of the battle of Armageddon (which we believe are a very small amount if any) would be changed to spirit at the time of the first resurrection. Also the saints that return with Jesus from heaven for the battle of Armageddon will be changed to spirit at the time of the first resurrection. Remember that there are several heavens. One of them refers to the actual throne of God. In this one no flesh can enter, but God is taking the humans at the time of the rapture to the third heaven also called paradise, where there are trees and rivers and material life. Be sure to read our next sequel Paradise coming soon. The dead in Christ are resurrected (to spirit ) at the same time that the believers who are alive at his coming are "changed" to spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:22
For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:23
But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming,
1 Corinthians 15:24
Then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.
1 Corinthians 15:25
For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
|
1 Corinthians 15:26 The last enemy that will be abolished is death. |
1 Corinthians 15:51
Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,
1 Corinthians 15:52
in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:53
For this perishable must put on the imperishable, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1 Corinthians 15:54
But when this perishable will have put on the imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then will come about the saying that is written, "DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory.
Reasons for the Rapture
1. To fulfill Jesus' promise to the apostles.
Jesus promised to take us (the believers that are alive at the time of His coming) to be with him.
John 14:1
Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
![]() |
John 14:2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. |
John 14:3
If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to
Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
2. To keep the promise made to Abraham.
|
Genesis 22:15 Then the angel of the LORD called to Abraham a second time from heaven, |
Genesis 22:16 and said, "By Myself I have sworn, declares the LORD, because you have done this thing and have not withheld your son, your only son, |
|
Genesis 22:17 |

Genesis 22:18
"In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you
have obeyed My voice."
Hebrews 6:13
For when God made the promise to Abraham,
since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself,
In order to keep the promise that He
would greatly multiply his seed as the stars of heaven and as the sand of the
seashore, God will need to take the seed to a safe place.
The seed of Abraham is made up of the actual genetic descendants (the 12 tribes of Israel)) as well as those followers by faith, as we mentioned before.
Most of the followers of Jesus/Yeshua will be put to death by the one world government referred to in the book of Revelation as "the Beast that looks like a leopard". Therefore, it is necessary to take His followers out of the grip of Satan and the Beast. Due to the fact that there will be no area of the earth in which the government of the beast will not have authority, God will need to take His people literally out of this Earth. Read Mark of the Beast.
Acts 3:25
It is you who are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God
made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, 'AND IN
YOUR SEED ALL THE FAMILIES OF THE EARTH SHALL BE
BLESSED.'
3. To have a larger gene pool from which to repopulate the earth after the battle of Armageddon.
God states that the human population left on this earth would be more rare than the gold of Ophir. Therefore, in order to avoid genetic inbreeding, God will need to take out of this earth enough people that he would bring back, flesh and blood, to reproduce with the humans that are left on earth after Armageddon.
Also, the gene pool is being damaged by genetic manipulation, not only of the human genome, but the plant genome "Frankenfood".
Many valuable genes are disappearing in the plant kingdom and animal kingdom, including the homo sapiens.
4. To save His followers from the hour of testing and the wrath of God.
Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. |
|
The hour of testing seems to be the trial of either accepting the mark of the beast and lose your future eternal life, or rejecting the mark and losing your physical life by beheading. God is compassionate and knows that most of his followers will rather die than accept the mark, therefore He will protect them by taking them to a place of refuge in some other planet. Read our next sequel The Woman with 12 Stars.
After the rapture/rescue God will start to deal with the evil forces here on earth -- Satan and his human followers. He deals with them in what the bible calls "the day of the Lord" or "the day of God's wrath." More on this subject in Wrath of God.
Isaiah
13:5
They are
coming from a far country,
From the farthest horizons,
The LORD and His instruments of indignation,
To destroy the whole land.
Isaiah 13:6
Wail, for the
day of the LORD is near!
It will come as destruction from the Almighty.
Revelation
6:17
for the great day
of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"
Revelation 14:10
he also will drink
of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of
His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of
the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
We are waiting for the signs of Christ's return to
rapture/rescue his followers in order to protect us from the impending
persecution by the one-world government of "the beast."
|
1 Thessalonians 1:10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who rescues us from the wrath to come. |
