Size: Marvel Super Hero Island is the second smallest island in the park. Almost every significant place is visible once you cross the bridge from the Port of Entry. Location: Since it is either the first or last island people will visit before exiting the park, Marvel Super Hero Island can be very crowded in the early morning and late evening hours. Ride Waits: The Incredible Hulk Coaster begins operation at 9:00 am Monday through Friday. However, on Saturday and Sunday, this green menace begins at 8:40 am. There are virtually no lines whatsoever from 8:40 - 9:15 am. You'll be able to walk right on at least three times. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man is a must-see attraction and it produces the longest waits all day (with the exception to the Pteranodon Flyers). The typical wait is 45 minutes to 1 hour and 15 minutes. However, if you ride this first thing in the morning, the wait is only 5 minutes. Dr. Doom's Fearfall has a consistant wait time all day: 15 - 20 minutes. Be sure to ride Hulk and Spider-Man before this one. Air Conditioning: The Incredible Hulk Coaster queue has no air conditioning. The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man and Dr. Doom's Fearfall are both air conditioned. All restaurants and shops are fully air conditioned. Music: The genre of tunes heard throughout this island ranges from techno to hard rock. Eating: Marvel Super Hero Island has more dining places that any other island in the park. There are two large over-the-counter restaurants and four small eateries to satisfy anyone's sweet tooth. Restrooms: There is one facility directly across from the entrance of the Incredible Hulk Coaster and another on the far end of the island on the left side of the street before you cross the bridge that enters Toon Lagoon. Telephones: Both telephone places are located outside of the above mentioned restrooms. Lockers: There are no lockers on Marvel Super Hero Island. |
