Depart around 3:45pm from the commercial harbour of Portimao. Spend an unforgettable afternoon visiting the wonderful caves and grottoes along the west side of the Algarve coast line. Weather conditions permitting, grottoes trip in a little dinghies. Return home around 6:45pm

Loulé - Typical Portuguese market with the country men and women selling fish, fruits and fresh vegetables. See craftsmen, coopersmiths, basket and harness makers. Almancil- On the way back stop and visit São Lourenço Church (entrance fee included) with is beautifully ornate tilework and famous cultural centre

Return to the Algarve

Alte - Stroll around its narrow and flowery streets, discovering the most picturesque village in the Algarve. Admire the dooway of the Church of Nossa Senhora da Assunção, a fine example of the XVI century Manueline architecture, and the several natural springs. Querença- a small and quiet village, lost up in the hills. Loulé- On the return, drive throught one of the busiest inland towns.

Lagos, a town linked to the Portuguese discoveries. Quarteira- We offer you the opportunity of seeing a real Gypsy market. Visit the stalls containing a variety of goods for sale and test you ability at bargaining. Vilamoura- On the return, drive through one of the largest tourism developments in Europe.

Enjoy a special n ight out to a real Portuguese country festivity in an old farmhouse with folk dances and accordeon music. Eat and drink as much as you likeat the fine barbecue and have the opportunity to dance to Portuguese and international melodies. After dinner, a live folklore perfomance will take place. AFTERNOON

Faro- Discovery of the main city of the Algarve region, with guided visit of the oldtown and XIII century Cathedral (entrance fee included). Time at leisure for free visits such as the Etnographic museum or shopping in the city centre. Visit the chapel of the bones (entrance fee included) within the Carmelites Church before returning home.
